Violin lessons
Lessons for your children

It is well documented that taking music lessons from a young age can help brain development well into adulthood. But the main reason for learning to play an instrument is the joy and sense of achievement gained by making music.
I use recognised and proven teaching methods. Combined with regular performance opportunities, the result is swift progress and better motivation on the part of my pupils.

Lessons for you

Everybody is unique. There's no "one-size-fits-all" method for teaching or learning the violin. With me, what you get is a personalised approach that's just right for each pupil.
If you just want to learn to perform for your family at Christmas, that's fine. If you have the ambition to become a professional violinist, even better! Either way, I'd love to help you out.
Adult beginners and late starters
If you never had the opportunity to learn as a child, or if you used to have lessons, but gave up, I'd be delighted to teach you. It doesn't matter how old you are.
Most professional violinists started aged 5, or even earlier, but there's nothing to stop you learning to play for fun, whether you're 18, 35, or 70!

Advanced violinists
I offer lessons to Grade 8 level and music college auditions or university entrance exams. Experienced students of all ages are welcome.
These are not only more demanding lessons, but encompass more than just violin playing. I offer advice on all aspects of being a violinist, from instrument care and repairs to music theory, buying a new violin, and accompanists.
